we learnt about how within monkeys and gorillas too,the female looks for one mate she wants to mate with during the mating season and the male looks for females even outside his group, casue the more he finds and mates with..the more attractive he is seen as, and he becomes like the head or leader of the group sooner.
I think men just havent evolved since.
Atleast now there's some explanation.
It's just sad that women base their self-worth on what the unevolved species think.

hehehehe.. you're not serious.. man if that's true then you're spot on about men not evovling since!!
This merely illustrates the earliest signs of prostitution seen in monkeys 15m years ago: (macaques to be precise)
These female macaques never gave the sex for free. They put up their price/barter in the form of grooming/food.

But if you thought that this followed the mere rule of reciprocity, you're wrong. The transaction followed strict market rules of demand and offer. If there were more females in the zone, sex got incredibly cheap: a stud had to pick and eat female's lice and dandruff just for just eight minutes. But if there was just one "prostitute" on the corner, the poor sex desired monkey hunk had to sweat for up to 16 minutes before getting some seconds of pleasure.

-IMHO The male traits are not the only thing that havent evolved.

lol. spot on. they really havent. but that fact that we play along is an indication that we havent either. sigh.
gorilla gigolo.
i think this theory has been studied ever since in context with polygamy. there have been religious laws that have stood for this animal instinct. But at the least most of the countries have evolved since by releasing polygamy as illegal.
thank god for that right?!
lol..probably..but we've evloved lots since polygamy ans sati.though it is still prevalent..but it's interesting to study the similarity between anthro and womens studies..they are actully so relavent..
